Happy New Year!

I love this time of year. So much hope and

promise for the months ahead.

Did you know …? The month of January is

named after Janus – the ancient Roman god

of beginnings, endings, transitions and the

passage of time.

Ancient Romans believed Janus ruled over life events such as weddings, births, and deaths. He also oversaw seasonal events such as planting, harvests, seasonal changes as well as the new year.

Importantly, he is often depicted as having two faces, one looking to the future, the other reflecting on the past.

It reminded me that when we focus on future action, we must also look back. Our past experiences inform our future goals, strategies and aspirations.

So, here's to a year of growing, learning and starting anew. May your 2023 reflections be your springboard to wisdom. I hope 2024 brings you great success, good fortune and an abundance of gravitas!
